My Background
Marcus Vigil
Art has always been my way of making sense of the world. As a kid, I filled scraps of paper with sketches, a habit that carried me through high school before I set it aside to serve four years in the Marine Corps. Even then, the creative spark never left. When I finished my service in 2022, I dove into art school at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, focusing on character design and concept art for games and film. Inspired by Steve Irwin’s love for wildlife, I draw heavily from plants and animals in my work, using ink, charcoal, and digital tools to build immersive worlds. The discipline and resilience I gained in the military now guide my artistic process, and my goal is to bring meaningful stories to life in a studio setting.
